About Us
Connecting the world through Cultural Intelligence
Hong Kong CQ Center was established by a group of enthusiastic scholars and professionals from education, business and tourism to provide quality education in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area.

Centre introduction
With globalisation advancing rapidly over the past two decades, the leaders of tomorrow need high Cultural Intelligence (CQ) to move confidently across different environments and cultures.
Our expertise in education and child development allows us to design engaging programmes suited to learners of different abilities and nationalities, shaped around the real needs of Hong Kong schools.
Our vision is to broaden students’ insight and international perspective so they can achieve outstanding results in both academic and non-academic areas.
CQ
Our approach to Cultural Intelligence (CQ)
CQ, or Cultural Intelligence, is the capability to work and communicate effectively across cultural differences. Alongside IQ and EQ, it is a core competence for global talent.
We turn CQ into learning students can actually experience: cultural awareness through Chinese cultural workshops and cultural performances, communication practice through cross-cultural and language activities, and real-world application through outdoor field trips.
Cultural awareness
Intangible cultural heritage crafts, traditional performances and festivals build understanding and appreciation of culture.
Cross-cultural communication
Putonghua, English and bilingual activities give students practice expressing themselves in different languages and cultural settings.
Real-world application
OUting field trips and task-based learning take language and cultural skills into real environments.
Our team
Our team consists of experienced educators, cultural instructors and event planning specialists. Every instructor holds relevant professional qualifications and is familiar with Hong Kong school operations and Education Bureau guidelines.
From concept and run-down design to materials and on-site delivery, our team handles everything. Schools only need to provide the venue and a timetable.
We also work with cultural performers, intangible heritage craftspeople and outdoor guides across disciplines, which keeps the standard of every programme consistent.
Built in-house: OUting Apps
OUting Apps is our own outdoor learning application, available in a Putonghua version and an English version. It supports both in-school programmes and field trips, and is designed for language and cultural exploration.
During a field trip students complete observation tasks, vocabulary learning and group records in the app. Teachers can follow each group’s progress live, and the learning record stays available afterwards for follow-up lessons and project work.
- Putonghua and English versions for different language goals
- Task-based exploration matched to each OUting route
- Live progress view for teachers
- Learning records kept after the activity
- Works alongside in-school cultural days and classroom activities
